‘High School Musical’ hits ice next week May 17, 2008
CORPUS CHRISTI — “Get’cha head in the game” and get on over to American Bank Center arena on Tuesday and Wednesday to experience Wildcat frenzy and rock the house at “Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour!”
Celebrate the same sounds, the same songs as the Disney Channel’s smash hit original movies “High School Musical” and “High School Musical 2,” choreographed for the ice with a cast of world-class skaters.
“It’s a combination of both shows all the same dance moves, all the same songs,” said cast member Bianka Szijgyarto, who plays a cheerleader and sidekick Sharpette (Sharpay in training). “We translate the moves on ice.”
“High School Musical,” the Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel Original Movie, is a pop culture craze about two high school juniors from rival cliques gunning for lead parts in their high school musical, and as a result, dividing the school. Fans will recognize their favorite characters, including Troy, Gabriella, Ryan, Taylor and Chad.
Fans will get to experience movie favorites such as “We’re All in This Together,” “Get’cha Head in the Game,” “Start of Something New” and “Stick to the Status Quo” along with new music
from “High School Musical 3,” set for theaters on Oct. 24.
